Putting the puzzle together...

HEAD COACH:  Tom Wyllie

The 2016-2017 season marked Head Coach Tom Wyllie’s 20th year at Seaholm where he lead the team to a second consecutive 3rd place finish at the MHSAA D2 High School State Meet.  During his tenure his teams have finished in the Top Ten at the MHSAA State Swimming & Diving Championship Meet 19 times, finished in the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association “Mythical” High School National Championship Top Ten 4 times, and won 6 OAA League titles. His swimmers have won 24 individual, 18 relay, and 2 diving MHSAA State titles, set 12 MHSAA State Class/Division records,  2 MHSAA All-State Records, broken 24 OAA League Records, and turned in 49 (and maybe 50) NISCA High School All America performances.   In 1998, 2005,  and 2008 the Oakland Press named him Coach of the Year.  In 2008 and 2014 he was also recognized by the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association as Zone 2 Coach of the Year and the OAA as Division 1 Coach of the Year.  In 2009, 2011, 2012, & 2013 he was recognized by the OAA as the Red Division Coach of the Year.  In 2015, he guided the team to their third MHSAA Division 2 State Championship in 49 years representing a Back To Back Championship. In the fall of 2015 he was celebrated as the MHSAA Swim Coach Of The Year. By finishing third in the D2 State Meet, Tom extended his streak of either 1st place or 3rd place finishes 7 consecutive years. We are grateful to have Tom lead our team.

Robbie comes to Seaholm after a swim career at Kalamazoo College where he last competed in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships in 2012. When he’s not coaching or working he spends an inordinate amount of time skiing!

Dan career is taking off and unfortunately we won’t have the time to help in the 2017-18 Swim Season.  Thanks for all your help and support over the years, Dan, and all the best to you in your future!

We are currently looking for a replacement, should you know someone who would be interested please contact any captain parent.
